Falls Creek Public School has a long tradition of quality public education dating back to 1886. Our school is nestled in beautiful bushland just south of Nowra. We have a strong understanding of the significant Aboriginal culture and traditions that exists on Wandra Wandian country. 37 students enjoy their schooling here and due to small numbers our students are given the individual support they need to excel and reach their full potential.
Our school is set on 4 hectares of attractive grounds featuring beautiful playgrounds with space for students to run and play as well as tend our resident chickens. We utilise our beautiful bush setting and spacious playground by integrating our classroom learning into the outdoors.
We provide an educational environment with a strong emphasis on all key learning areas. Students here enjoy our creative and practical arts programs, learn to apply computer technology effectively, develop and improve sporting skills and participate in valuable cultural experiences. The children promote their talents and participate in a variety of learning experiences both in and out of school hours.
Our students are offered many opportunities that are extended by networking with other small schools in our region. These opportunities include a diverse range of curriculum events such as sporting carnivals, school camps and cultural visits.
Our school is fortunate to have a very involved and supportive parent body who contribute to our school in various ways, including assisting during class time with reading groups and the preparation of equipment to help in the classrooms. We work closely with a dedicated Parents and Citizens Association who are committed to improving the school for their children We encourage and value when the wider community become involved in our school.
We are a friendly and nurturing school. Students at Falls Creek Public School value hard work, self-discipline and respect for each other and the environment. Our School is the perfect setting for students to learn and play while providing an amazing array of opportunities for students.
