What is high potential and gifted education?
High potential and gifted education (HPGE) is how our school supports students with advanced learning needs.
We do this through:

Creative and Artistic Opportunities
Students with talents in music, dance and visual arts have access to rich programs both within the school and through our partnerships with local institutions. Our school band offers a dynamic platform for music development while visual arts and dance programs encourage creative expression. We engage with community partners such as the Shoalhaven Art Gallery and Bundanon to provide students with opportunities to exhibit their work and learn from professional artists.
Science and STEM Exploration in Our Unique Environment
Falls Creek’s extraordinary natural setting including our iconic falls and surrounding forest areas offers an inspiring outdoor classroom for our science and STEM activities. Students in our HPGE program undertake hands on nature-based learning experiences that deepen their understanding of environmental science ecosystems and sustainability. We integrate technology robotics and coding with these outdoor investigations to foster analytical thinking and innovation. Our STEM initiatives connect students with real world challenges encouraging exploration and problem solving inspired by the natural world around them.
Enriching Academic and Leadership Opportunities
Our HPGE students engage in debating and speech competitions enhancing their critical thinking and communication skills. Collaborative opportunities with neighbouring schools like Bay and Basin Public School allow access to joint sporting events public speaking forums and leadership activities broadening their social and personal growth.
